Agbo Ile (Flock of houses) Series

Agbo Ile (a flock of houses) is a form of human dwelling place in Yoruba Land. It is a collection of apartments for individual families.

These apartments together are known as compound, or to the Yorubas as Agbo ile. They consist of two or more rooms for each family polygynous or monogamous.

In Agbo Ile there are families of different lineages that live together as one. Some of these families of different lineages may have relationship with the household through marriage, adoption and other linkages created by human or natural factors like displacement.
